The Story Behind the Shop
Josh grew up in Northern Michigan, where he and his friends spent their free time tinkering with cars from the '80s and '90s. Long cruises down the lakeshore and summer nights racing down backroads cemented his passion for driving.
After developing his restoration and fabrication skills at shops in both Michigan and Colorado, Josh decided to venture out on his own. He's worked on everything from Fords to Ferraris. When he’s not working on cars, Josh is road tripping through the mountains, deserts, and canyons of the American Southwest.
Josh doesn't just love building cars. He loves driving. His experience on the road shapes every project at Tarmac. Josh’s work reflects his commitment to precision, problem solving, and creativity. He gets to know his customers so he can build a car that feels right for them. Josh makes sure that each and every project is one that both he and the customer can be proud of.
